A Special Investigation Team has been formed under Thrissur Range Inspector-General S Gopinath to probe the allegations raised against K Sudhakaran MP. A former driver of the Congress leader had claimed the other day that Sudhakaran had conspired to kill CPM leader E P Jayarajan.

The team members have not been decided yet. Though Kannur SP Rahul R Nair, Wayanad SP A V George and Crime Branch DySP Sudarsanan were considered initially, they are learnt to have been excluded as they had been assigned other important investigations. DGP Jacob Punnoose told Express that Gopinath has been given the liberty to choose the team members.
