CPM Onchiyam Area Committee Secretary C H Ashokan on Tuesday approached the Kerala High Court seeking bail in the case registered at the Chombala police station in connection with the murder conspiracy hatched against T P Chandrasekharan in 2009.
The charges levelled against Ashokan are criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, rioting, concealing the design to commit offence.
Ashokan submitted that he has been falsely arraigned as accused in the case owing to political enmity.
The Kerala High Court on Monday had granted bail to the petitioner in connection with another case registered with the Vadakara police related to TP murder.
The court had granted bail to Ashokan as the state government failed to establish his in the conspiracy to kill Chandrasekharan
