RMP and Left Coordination Committee leaders on Thursday met the Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and requested his intervention in the ongoing investigation into the T P Chandrasekharan murder.
RMP secretary N Venu, Left Coordination Committee general secretary K S Hariharan and president Kumarankutty met Achuthanandan and told him that CPM leaders
were interfering in the investigation process and intimidating the investigating officers by threatening them.
They pointed out that CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan met Karayi Rajan one of the accused in the case and Kozhikode district secretariat member of CPM in jail the other day.
Speaking to Express, Venu said Achuthanandan had assured that he would continue to fight against political killings and politics of murder.
