SNDP unions for new party

Out of the 138 unions that presented their opinions to the yogam at the SNDP ‘Netrusangamam’ in Munnar, 130 supported forming a party. They said the yogam should resolve to form a party first and later try to garner support of other Hindu organisations.

The NSS director board meeting at Changanassery endorsed the decision to work together with SNDP, which was announced by general secretary G Sukumaran Nair earlier. The draft policy said, “the alliance of SNDP and NSS is proposed through this decision.

The issues that hinder the alliance will be sorted out through discussions. The alliance will be maintained by working together for protecting the interests of both the organisations.

The NSS will stick to its policies on caste, religion and politics.

The union in the name of majority communities should not be in the name of religion or politics,” it said.
