Ten naval officers pass out

Ten Officers, including four from the Indian Coast Guard, who have completed the Aeronautical Specialisation Course at the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology, passed out on Friday at a parade held at the Southern Naval Command.

The parade marked the culmination of the one-year course, which includes basic aeronautical subjects and practical training on different types of aircraft.

The parade was reviewed by Rear Admiral S Madhusudanan, Admiral Superintendent of Naval Ship Repair Yard, Kochi.

Deputy Commandant D Jayakumar stood first in the Order of Merit among Air Engineer Officers and was awarded the HAL Trophy while Lieutenant Sheshnath Mishra came first in the Order of Merit among Air Electrical Officers and won the Chief of Naval Staff Trophy along with the Director General Coast Guard Trophy for the best allrounder.

INS Venduruthy Trophy for the best project was awarded to the team comprising Deputy Commandant D Jayakumar and Deputy Commandant A S Tanwar.
