SFI State Conference from Thursday

The 31st state conference of the Students Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of the CPM, will be held at the Municipal Town Hall, here, from July 26 to 29.

CPM politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the public meeting at the Fort Maidan. Organising committee chairman of the meet M B Rajesh MP, SFI state secretary P Biju and SFI state president K V Sumesh said that the SFI has 13,00,710 members in the state and they will be represented by 434 delegates, six invitees and 76 state committee members at the conference. M B Rajesh MP will hoist the flag at the Maidan marking the beginning of the meet. On July 26, a rally will be taken out from Government Victoria College to Fort Maidan  and about 25,000 students are expected to participate in it. A delegates’ session to be held on the same day will be inaugurated by atomic scientist and former vice-chairman of the Higher Education Council of West Bengal

Dr Subimal Sen. CPM central committee member E P Jayarajan will also address the meet. Party state committee member T Sivadasa Menon will inaugurate the education seminar on July 27.
