The special investigation team (SIT) probing the murder cases revealed by CPM former Idukki district secretary M M Mani on Wednesday served a notice on Udumbanchola MLA and CPM Idukki district secretary K K Jayachandran to appear before it for interrogation.
A special meeting of the SIT in this regard was held at Ernakulam Range IG K Padamakumar’s office here on Wednesday.
“Jayachandran has been asked to appear before the SIT at the Munnar Circle Inspector’s office on August 1. The meeting also reviewed the new developments in the case,” Padamakumar said.
He added that after quizzing Jayachandran, a decision regarding the action to be taken against M M Mani will be taken, said Padmakumar. ENS
