The Special Investigation Team probing the murder of policeman Maniyan Pillai was called up by the Andhra Police, after they suspected that Aadu Antony could be behind the murder of three persons in a running bus at Tada in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

The unidentified assailant was suspected as Aadu Antony, following the description of the co-passengers about the 6 feet tall killer. However, initial reports from the SIT team at Andhra indicate that the assailant may not be Aadu Antony.

SIT team had conducted thorough search in Andhra Pradesh after suspicion that Antony was somewhere in Nellore or Chittoor districts of Andra Pradesh.

SIT had also released the lookout notice for Antony, who stabbed to death senior Civil police officer Maniyan Pillai on the night of June 25.
