P C George flays anti-emerging Kerala move

Chief Whip P C George has said that the stand adopted by some groups against the Emerging Kerala investment meet is against the interest of the state. He was speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of a function held here. “The controversy regarding the meet is uncalled for. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy does not need a magnifying

lens to find out the reasons behind the opposition from certain quarters,” he added. He refused to comment on the remarks made by MLAs, supporting green politics through social networking sites. While approving of the investment meet, they had demanded that the government should not violate the land reforms and forest conservation Acts. “They are prominent leaders of a big party,” he said.
