The Kerala High Court on Thursday granted bail to five accused in the Abdul Shukkoor murder case. Justice P Bhavadasan granted bail to U V Venu, Ganeshan, K V Sumesh, A Anoop and K V Sajith.
The court ordered that the accused should execute a bond for `25,000 each and present two solvent sureties for the said amount.
If the petitioners commit any breach of conditions, the bail shall be cancelled, the court said. The police had filed the chargesheet against the accused before the Magistrate Court. The court held that further detention of the accused is not essential in the case.
