SBT opens network office

SBT-OPENS-NETWORK-OFFICE

A new Network Office of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) was opened here for prompt delivery of services to the customers. The office will be headed by a general manager who will report directly to the Chief General Manager at the Head Office.

The network will cover 379 branches in five zones including Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kollam (proposed), Mumbai and Delhi.

 The network has a total business turnover of nearly `49,000 crore. The Network concept is a first-of-its-kind in the SBT.  Health Minister V S Sivakumar inaugurated the facility. Mayor K Chandrika; C Rajkumar, general secretary, ABOA SBT Unit; K N Murali, general manager; Sajeev Krishnan, Chief General Manager; P Nandakumaran, Managing Director; K Muraleedharan Pillai, general secretary, SBTEU and Suresh M Nair, assistant general manager, participated.

In connection with the Teachers’ Day, SBT will distribute 920 water purifiers to the needy schools across India as part of corporate social responsibility.

As a token of this social act, Mayor K Chandrika handed over a water purifier to Government Central High School, East Fort, Thiruvananthapuram.
