Kathakali maestro dead

Kathakali veteran Pallom Madhavan, 85, died here on Wednesday due to old age related illness.   He was the recipient of state government’s award for Kathakali in 2011. The funeral will be held on Thursday at his residence in Panachikadu at 1 p.m. He is survived by his wife Gomathy Amma, daughters Maniamma, Vijayalakshmi,  Anila,  Hemambika and son Ragu.
