41 injured in bus mishap

Forty one people were injured when the tourist bus hired by a group of college students rammed into a building at Kanakkary junction near Ettumanoor.

The incident occurred around 5 am on Thursday during the tour conducted by a team of students and three teachers of Bishop Kuriallassery (BK) College, Amalagiri. While two persons suffered serious injuries, others managed to escape with minor injuries. The bus, which was coming from Wayanad, had lost its control and crashed into a super market building at Kanakkary junction off Main Central (MC) Road. The front cabin of the bus was completely damaged due to the crash.  The passengers got trapped in the bus as its door was trapped between the  building walls and the absence of emergency exit doors.
