Basketball court inaugurated

Anwar Sadat MLA inaugurated the state-of-the-art basketball court at Al Ameen College at Edathala on Friday.

The court which was built with an outlay of  Rs 8 lakh, has the facility for hosting interstate and inter-collegiate tournaments.

Sadat said that only when new facilities are provided can the youngsters excel in sports. “Not only academics but also physical activities are required for the complete growth of children,” he said. Al Ameen Trust manager Siyad Koker, T P M Ibrahim Khan, trust chairman M M Abdul Rahiman and treasurer K M Hamza attended the function.
