Trucks collide: 1 dies, 4 hurt

One person died and four were injured  when two trucks collided near Amala Subway in Thrissur on Friday morning.    

The deceased has been identified as Henson aka Binu, 28, of Wayanad, the driver of one of the trucks.

The injured Sajesh Kumar, 25, of Sulthan Bathery and Maharashtra natives Pradeep Malik, 19, Sadhle Bathri, 20 and  Bappu Kamli, 22, have been admitted to a  private hospital.  According to the police, the accident occurred at 2 am.

One of the trucks was heading to Maharashtra from Kottayam and  the other was on its way to Kollam from Sulthan Bathery. The collision also led to a heavy traffic jam for hours.
