Achuthanandan

Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan on Monday, sought the support and guidance of Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, but made it clear after meeting VS at his official residence here that he did not invite the CPM leader to join AAP.

“Achuthanandan is an example for everyone to follow. I have sought his guidance, help and support. I have not invited him to our party,” Bhushan said after having lunch with VS.

Bhushan said that he explained to VS the aims and objectives of AAP and how people across the country were hoping to put an end to the corruption and bring in a change in power.

“I apprised him about what AAP stands for and the kind of hope it has given to people. To make it a success, all right-minded people should come together,” he said. It is learnt that in the meeting the leaders mainly discussed about the general political situation, including the solar scam in Kerala and legal issues concerning some public interest litigations being pursued by the veteran CPM leader.
