In yet another incident that proves that Kerala is no longer a safe place for small children, a two-and-a-half-year old boy was allegedly sexually abused by a 23-year-old maid servant who took care of the kid when his parents went to work.
The police have arrested P V Leema, 23, of Kurisumukku near Ramanthali, after a complaint by the kid’s parents who reside at a government quarters at Ramanthali.
According to the police, Leema was produced before the Mattannur Judicial First Class Magistrate who is in charge of the Payyanur Judicial First Class Magistrate and was remanded for six days. The crime came to light when the parents of the child, both government servants, noticed bruises on his body and in the private parts.
