In a fresh round of litigation against Mahatma Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor A V George, yet another complaint has been filed before the Lok Ayakuta by Sherafunnisa K M, a law college student and national secretary of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), seeking an investigation against the former and steps for his removal from the post of the Vice-Chancellor on various charges, including fund misappropriation from the university.

In her complaint, Sherafunnisa alleged that George had committed fraud, corruption, misappropriation of university fund or public money, for which the latter is liable to be charged under various provisions of the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

According to the complainant, George had appointed a senior counsel and released an amount of `4.50 lakh (`2.25 lakh twice - UO number 758/AIII/3/2013/Admn, dated February 11, 2013 and UO number 4857/AIII/3/PP/2013/Admn, dated September 10, 2013), to defend a quo-warranto litigation seeking the removal of A V George from the post of the Vice-Chancellor.

She pleaded before the Lok Ayukta to order appropriate probe and prosecute the VC from his post.
