Man Arrested on Robbery Charges

IDUKKI:  The Thodupuzha police on Friday helped the Tamil Nadu police nab BMS leader Jimmy George, 35, in connection with a robbery case. According to the police, Jimmy, along with 10 others, was allegedly involved  in robbing two persons  of `55 lakh in Coimbatore on July 4.

The Tamil Nadu police team consisting of ten personnel from Coimbatore, headed by Inspector Ramesh Kannan, took the accused to Coimbatore after taking him into custody, Thodupuzha SI Subramaniam told ‘Express’. The accused waylaid a car and looted the money after assaulting two of occupants of the vehicle, he said.
