4 Sites for AIIMS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has identified four potential places for setting up the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), as asked by the Centre.

As per the order issued in this regard, four places - a portion of KSIDC land at Kinaloor in Kozhikode, land near the open jail at Nettukaltheri near Neyyattinkara, a portion of land under the Kottayam Medical College and land owned by HMT in Ernakulam - have been identified as the suitable locations for setting up the hospital.

The State Government identified the places after the Centre directed to locate three to four places with basic infrastructure facilities and suitable for setting up the institute.
