CM to Announce Autonomous Status

KOCHI: Chief Minister Ooman Chandy will formally announce the autonomous status granted to Sacred Heart College, Thevara, on Friday.

Water Resources Minister P J Joseph, Fisheries, Excise and Ports Minister K Babu, MP K V Thomas, MP Anto Antony, MG University Vice-Chancellor incharge Sheena Shukkur, CMI prior general Paul Achandy, MLAs, and other public personalities will attend the event scheduled to be held at the college campus at 9 am.

The 70-year old Sacred Heart College is among the first institutions in Kerala to receive the coveted autonomous status. The UGC endowed the autonomous status to the college following an year-long assessment and evaluation.
