NSS Charity and Service Works Inaugurated

K V Thomas MP inaugurated the Ernakulam NSS Karayogam’s charity and services works to be implemented this year, which is funding Rs 60 lakh towards its charity service and educational initiatives.

KOCHI: K V Thomas MP inaugurated the Ernakulam NSS Karayogam’s charity and services works to be implemented this year, which is funding `60 lakh towards its charity service and educational initiatives.

The function also witnessed inauguration of some of the schemes. The distribution of medical aids to cancer and HIV patients in the Ernakulam General Hospital was inaugurated by handing it over to General Hospital medical superintendent Annie PG.

Centenarian and Karayogam president K P K Menon was felicitated by writer and critic M K Sanu in the event.

Speaking at the event, M K Sanu also lauded the charity efforts of Karayogam over the years irrespective of cast, creed or religion.

Mayor Tony Chammany, Deputy Mayor B Bhadra, Advocate T P M Ibrahim Khan and other office-bearers of Karayogam were present at the event.
