KOCHI: Figuratively, it was Shruthi’s first birthday and literally 25th. Shruthi, whose heart was transplanted through a rare surgery at the Lisie Hospital last year, celebrated the first anniversary of the surgery at the hospital on Wednesday. She was suffering from a rare condition called Takaysu disease. After one year, she is all hail and healthy. Filmmaker Ranjith and actor Dulquer Salman were the chief guests and they together presented a laptop to her who wish to make a living as a medical transcriptionist. Hospital director Fr Thomas Vaikkathuparambil, Dr Jose Chacko Periappuram, Dr Jacob Abraham, Dr Rony Mathew and Dr Babu Francis were present.
