Ganga Snan Yatra from IRCTC

KOCHI: The IRCTC has launched a pilgrimage tour for the Onam celebration ‘Maha Punya - Ganga Snan  Yatra’ through Bharat Darshan Tourist Train from Madurai to North India via Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Erode, Salem and Vijayawada.

The tour covers holy pilgrimage places  such as Haridwar, Allahabad, Varanasi and Gaya. This unique cost-effective tourist train will leave from  Madurai, exclusively for tourists from Kerala on September 2.The cost of the package tour is `6,700 (11 days).The cost includes Non-AC Sleeper Class Train journey, Non-AC hall accommodation wherever night stay is planned, Non-AC buses for local sightseeing and vegetarian meals.

The unique tourist train has the following features: The train carries only the Bharat Darshan tourists. Tour escorts and security guard for each coach. 10 coaches, including pantry car. Each coach is fixed with audio system for important announcements and music. On board and off-board catering service (Vegetarian - breakfast, lunch and dinner).
