KMML: CPCB to Submit Report

KOLLAM: The officials of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) who were conducting a two-day inspection, which started on Tuesday, at the plants of Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited (KMML), Chavara, may submit its preliminary report to the government on Thursday. The inspection was carried out in the wake of gas leaks on August 6 and 7 from the KMML plants.

“We are expecting to submit a preliminary report to the government on Thursday. As part of this, we would hold discussions with the Factories and Boilers Department, Pollution Control Board and the KMML management,” Elankovan, director of Regional Labour Institute, who is also a member of the inspection team, said.
