KOZHIKODE: Eighteen years ago, Italian car manufacturer Fiat stunned Indian driving freaks with its supermini car Palio. With regular upgrades on Palio and with pleasing customer service tactics, Fiat maintained an admirable position in the Indian automobile industry.
When the rivals started to conquer the fast-paced market with new upgrades and timely breeds, Fiat also shot back with its two new launches - Punto and Linea.
The Italian sleek design of Punto stole many hearts and it marked its name in the premium hatchback model category. Of course, Linea may have been the cool sedan that brought the Italian affluence back, but Punto was just awesome in winning hearts. It is this love for Punto that led Fiat to come up with an evolved Punto.
Style, comfort and performance are the three words that can describe the new Punto Evo. Talking about style, the new Punto Evo has its eyes on what lies ahead, that it comes with entirely different reindeer headlamps that increase the range of visibility. Punto Evo ensures best-in-class ground clearance of 195 mm and this takes it a step ahead of its rivals. In terms of performance and handling, the solid design makes you negotiate sharp turns with ease. “Earlier, we had faced some problems with our service part. But today, we ensure better service facilities by following the 3s facility, that is the service, sales and spares.
