Special Trains Allotted to Ease Heavy Rush During Onam

KOCHI: The following special trains will be run to ease the rush of passengers during Onam Festival season.

The Ernakulam-Chennai Central-Ernakulam Superfast specials: T No 06346 Ernakulam Junction-Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7 pm on September 4 and 11 (Thursdays) and arrive at Chennai Central at 7.45 pm the next day.

In the return direction T No 06345 Chennai Central-Ernakulam Junction Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 pm on September 5 and 12 (Fridays) and arrive Ernakulam Junction at 10.45 pm the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai,  Katpadi and Arakkonam. Train No 06346 will stop at Perambur also.

The Nagercoil-Mangalore Jn- Nagercoil specials: T No 06306 Nagercoil- Mangalore Junction Special will leave Nagercoil at 9 pm on September 7 (Sunday) and arrive at Mangalore Jn at 12.45 pm the next day. In the return direction, T No 06305 Mangalore Jn-Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore Jn at 2.45 pm on September 8 (Monday) and arrive Nagercoil at 5.50pm the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class,3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Kulitturai, Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kanhangad and Kasaragod, among other stops.
