State Teachers Awards for 2014-15 Announced

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state teachers awards for the year 2014-15 have been announced.  A committee comprising Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb as chairman and Secretary, General Education and Director of Public Instruction as members have decided the awardees.

 Fourteen teachers from the primary section and as many teachers from the secondary section have bagged the awards.  In the higher secondary section, 9 teachers have been awarded. In the VHSC stream, seven teachers were selected for the award.  The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a memento. The awards  will be distributed on National Teachers Day which falls on September 5.
