THIRUVANANTHAPURAM :The KSRTC is all set to bring back about 400 buses on the road by next week. Speaking to ‘Express’, KSRTC Managing Director Antony Chacko confirmed that the buses will re-start services by next week after replacement of tyres and damaged parts. “The Corporation needs roughly `35-40 lakh per day for various day-to-day maintenance works, tyre and damaged parts replacement. Due to certain issues some time back, regular inflow of money for this work got affected and maintenance and tyre replacement became overdue for about a month. Also, tyre supply by one company remained stalled for the past nine months. Last week, we bought 520 tyres tobe used for the 230 buses. Provisions have also been made for changing spare parts for the remaining 130 buses,’’ said Antony Chacko.
