KOTTAYAM: CPI(M) leader M A Baby on Saturday criticised the Human Resource Development Ministry’s directive to the schools across the country to make arrangements to telecast PM Narendra Modi’s Teacher’s Day address live.

Talking to the media persons, Baby said that the Ministry’s directive to all the schools is part of Modi’s policy to become the sole centre of power.

As per a directive from the HRD Ministry, all schools across the country will have to ensure that students watch the live telecast of the PM’s Teachers’ Day address on September 5. Baby said that such moves and policies will affect the relationship between the states and the centre. He added that the central Government should consider discussing such matters with the States instead of imposing it upon them.
