Security Beefed up

Security has been beefed up around the constituency office of Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Thaoor here late on Friday as a precautionary measure in the wake of the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar under mysterious circumstances in New Delhi.
The constituency office of Shashi Tharoor, who is the Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, is situated at Government Press Road here.
“Around 20 to 30 policemen have been deployed around Tharoor’s office as a precautionary measure,” DCP Law and Order K K Balachandran told ‘Express’.
It is understood that the security has been beefed up to ensure that possible protests by Opposition parties do not turn violent.
