ALAPPUZHA:VHP chief Praveen Togadia has said that the silence of the political organisations on the issue of derogatory remarks made by a bishop against the SNDP activists was suspicious. He was speaking after inaugurating the bio-farming campaign initiated by the SNDP yogam at Cherthala on Tuesday.  Togadia said that when a deregatory remark about the minorities is made,  organisations would  support them, but when the majority community is being humiliated, no one voices protest. The Christian Bishop targeted the SNDP activists, and if such remarks are made hereafter, the 100-crore strong Hindu community  will react against it.  SNDP yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan delivered the keynote address.  Vice-president Thushar Vellapally presided over the function.  Cherthala Union convener K K Mahesan spoke.
