KASARGOD:Avinash of Narayanamangalam near Kumbla has bagged the first rank in scheduled tribe and scheduled caste category in the Kerala engineering entrance test.
He belongs to the Malekudiya tribe, one of the most backward communities in Kasargod, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Son of Eshwarakudiya, Delampady branch manager of Kerala Grameen Bank, and Vasathi, Avinash said he would choose to study electronics engineering.
He cleared pre-university course with 92.8% marks from Vivekananda College, Puthur in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. He passed SSLC with 96 per cent marks from Little Lily School, Kumbla.
