SABARIMALA: Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham (ABASS) general secretary N Velayudhan Nair urged the Government to initiate immediate measures to remove old and decayed trees standing on the sides of the forest-trekking path between Pampa and Sabarimala.
ABASS general secretary said in a statement that about 20 old trees need immediate removal on the sides of the Chandranandan Road and Swami Ayyappan Road.The Forest Department in association with the Travancore Devaswom Board should conduct an immediate survey to locate the decayed trees with the overall objective of saving the lives of the pilgrims, he said.
