KOZHIKODE: The digital locker system has been introduced in Akshaya centres in Kozhikode district. The system will help keep important records and certificates in digital format. All digitised certificates will be linked to respective Aadhar numbers for easy access. People can set up digital lockers through Akshaya centres by creating an account using a user id and password or through bio-metric credentials. Birth, death and marriage certificates, pancard, school/college transfer certificate, village certificates, university certificates, passport, bank account, electricity/water connection documents can be stored in digital format. Initially, files up to 10 MB can be uploaded online. The size of file will be extended upto 10 GB later.
