KOTTAYAM: Nair Service Society general secretary G Sukumaran Nair has said that the issues being faced by the forward caste communities have not been addressed even after a change of guard occurred at the Centre.
He was speaking after inaugurating the annual conference and budget meeting of the NSS Changanassery taluk union on Sunday.
According to Sukumaran Nair, the Narendra Modi-led government has been following the path of previous UPA government. “Though, the people at the helm of affairs had announced during time of assuming power that the new government would consider all with equal consideration, it could not keep the word.
We also expected a change in the approach. However, the one-and-a-half year long activities of the NDA government have proved that there is no change in their policies,” he said. According to Sukumaran Nair, the BJP, the Congress or the Left have not done any good for NSS. “Any of the changing governments at the Centre and State, political organisations did not pay heed to the issues being faced by the backward sections,” he said.
