KOZHIKODE: As a lot of significant information and knowledge continuously fail to reach its potential beneficiaries and the desired growth is thus thwarted both in science and in society, Vigyan Prasar has come up with a national-level workshop on Science Communication, in collaboration with MBL Media School, from September 14 to 18.
The five-Day National Workshop on Science Communication to understand what science is and how its principles and research findings could be used for the growth of society will be oragnised at MBL Media School, Chungam, Feroke, Kozhikode.
Some of the best science communicators in India will be given training on how to write and present science as a mass media content.
Dr T V Venkateswaran (Vigyan Prasar) and K P Madhu (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune) are the resource persons.
Media students interested in science and science communication and science post-graduate or research fellows interested in science communication can participate in the seminar. Though there is no registration fee, the participants are requested to attend the workshop fully. The timing is from 10 am to 4.30 pm.
