Vinson M Paul Retires from Service

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP Vinson M Paul retired from service on Monday. Addressing a farewell meeting at the Vigilance headquarters here on Monday, the official burst into tears and said the court references in the bar bribe case had hurt him a lot.

“We sought legal advice from the Supreme Court lawyers as we feared seeking opinion from the lawyers in the state would invite criticism. But that itself created a controversy,” he said.

After the farewell he said he would speak further about the case if it was proved that the fact-finding report against Mani had enough proofs to proceed with the case.
