Teacher Held for Molesting Student

KASARGOD: A school teacher has been booked for allegedly sodomising a student of Class I at Trikaripur. The teacher has been identified as Ajith of Vadakara. The child’s family had lodged a complaint alleging the teacher abused the boy three days ago.The family first approached Childline, which provided counselling to the student and based on its report, the police booked the teacher.

The school management has asked the teacher to step down and it also sent a report to the AEO, following registration of the case.

Autodriver Held

In another case police have arrested an autorickshaw driver at Ambalathara for attempting to sexually abuse a girl of Class I. Police said Ravindran, 45, used to pick and drop the child. Last day, the driver took the child to his house and attempted to abuse her.

The child told her parents, who filed a complaint with the police. The child and Ravindran were subjected to medical check-up at District Hospital in Kanhangad. 

Step Mom Held

A step-mother has been arrested for allegedly showing porn clip on mobile to her 13-year-old step-daughter in Adhur. According to a police complaint, the woman, 30, tried to push her into “immoral activities”.

The woman is also accused of physically assaulting the girl’s little sisters, aged 11 and nine years.
