In Politics One Should Turn a Blind Eye at Times: Mani

While in politics, at times, it may be necessary to turn a blind eye towards a few things, according to former minister K M Mani.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While in politics, at times, it may be necessary to turn a blind eye towards a few things, according to former minister K M Mani. “You cannot divulge such things either,” he said, reiterating and justifying his stand that there was indeed a conspiracy against him in the bar case, but would not spill the beans. “I’ll not be finished if the conspiracy bomb is triggered. I’ll not be one to make any emotional outburst,” Mani told mediapersons here on Friday. Backing chief minister to the hilt, responding to a query on the new turn the solar case has acquired, Mani said that the attempts of the accused to blacken Oommen Chandy would be futile.

On the bar case viz-a-viz  Minister K Babu and the charge of two kinds of justice meted out, Mani said he was not all jealous over something good happening to him. “The stand of Kerala Congress is that a deep wound was inflicted upon the party,” he said. “There is no hugging relationships in the UDF. We’re moving together without dislikes and much likes,” he said.
