IDUKKI: The Mullaperiyar Dam saw a slight decrease in its water level on Thursday. Tamil Nadu closed all the spillway shutters stopping the water flow to Idukki dam.
The water level in the dam was marked at 141.65 feet on Thursday evening in a 0.5 foot difference than that of Wednesday.
However, the Mullaperiyar catchment area continued to receive rains. The rain was marked 4.4 mm in the catchment area and 10.6 mm in Thekkady. The inflow to the reservoir was marked at 2,350 cubic foot water per second.
