THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With Biju Radhakrishnan’s ‘disclosures’ and ‘CD drama’  crash-landing and the opposition Left and the BJP left to fend for themselves in the campaign and political attacks against the government and the Chief Minister, the UDF has bounced back with counter-attacks. The Congress has demanded the resignation ofopposition leader V S Achuthanandan,  stating he has lost the moral right to continue in his  post. It has been proved that he had mouthed the words of a criminal undergoing life-term in jail, charged the Congress .

KPCC president V M Sudheeran has flayed the  Opposition LDF for banking on a hardcore criminal to indulge in character assassination of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and stated that the clamour for his resignation was intended to cover up the ignominy of a fizzled out plan of the Left fold while raising the ‘CD topic’ in and out of the Assembly. UDF convener P P Thankachan said the front would organise Assembly segment-wise protests across the state on Saturday to expose the Left.
