THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Left Front has launched a state-wide agitation demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Excise Minister K Babu. Addressing the LDF’s Secretariat march here on Friday, Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said if there’s something called shame, Chandy should resign.

LDF STIR.jpgAchuthanandan pointed out that, with the Thrissur Vigilance Court ordering quick verification against K Babu, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala’s claims that quick verification and preliminary enquiry are the same, has been proved wrong. “Chennithala had said that quick verification and preliminary enquiry are the same thing. If these are the same, why did the court order quick verification?,” he said.
