Calicut University Meet to Discuss 'Fudging' of Petition

KOZHIKODE:  A senate meeting of Calicut University to be convened on Saturday will discuss the situation in which signatures of 600 girl students were misused and sent to the Chancellor and High Court Chief Justice as part of political rivalry between the student groups. On Thursday, girl students of the university came out in the open saying that a group that owe allegiance to the Students Federation of India (SFI) had collected their signatures showing a petition that highlighted poor infrastructure facilities and safety standards in the college hostel.  However, the content of the petition was changed when it was sent to the Governor.
