VS to Inaugurate Public Meeting

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan will inaugurate the public meeting to be organised by the Left Democratic Front as part of its state-wide campaign against the State and Central governments raising issues of communalism, price hike, corruption and mismanagement and farmers’ crisis in the wake of fall in agri prices.

The public meeting to be held at Chacka in Thiruvananthapuram on December 22 will be attended by state leaders of the Left Democratic Front, said LDF district committee.

The meeting is being jointly organised by the LDF assembly committees of Thiruvananthapuram, Vattiyorkavu, Kazhakoottam and Nemom. Public meetings will be organised in other assembly constituencies in the district from December 20 to 23. The LDF state committee which met here under V S Achuthanandan the other day had decided to launch state-wide agitation.

CPM state committee member M Vijayakumar presided over the meeting held in this regard at the CPM district committee office.  

LDF district convener V Gangadharan Nadar, CPI district secretary G R Anil, S Chandrakumar of Janata Dal (S), Attingan Ramachandran of NCP, Adv R Satheesh Kumar of Kerala Congress and Palayam Rajan of Congress(S) were also present.
