Syndicate to Probe into Misuse of Signs

KOZHIKODE: The Calicut University Syndicate subcommittee has decided to make a comprehensive probe into the incident wherein signatures of 600 girl students were collected and misused in a political rivalry between groups of students, reports said on Saturday.

The girl students in the university on the other day had made open protests and complained that a group owing allegiance to the Students Federation of India (SFI) collected their signatures allegedly for making complaints against the poor facilities and safety at hostels, but changed the contents of the petition when it was sent to the Chancellor and High Court Chief Justice.
