THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Bar Hotels Association, which has faced a major setback in the bar case in the Supreme Court, said on Tuesday that it would consider filing a review petition against the apex court’s verdict that upheld the state government’s liquor policy.
“
We will take all possible legal steps against the verdict that has upheld the state government’s policy of confining bar licence to only five star hotels,” association general secretary M D Dhanesh said. He said that they would consult senior advocates and take a final decision on filing the review petition. As it was a court holiday, senior lawyers were on leave. Once they were available, all legal aspects would be discussed about the possibility of filing a review petition, Dhanesh said.
