THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister of State for Sports, said that the National Games would go a long way in developing the country and the state in the filed of sports. He said the Centre had already identified 75 sports talents who could be the medal prospects in the Olympic Games. A comprehensive package for development of sports and preparing the sportspersons for Olympics is on the anvil. He said the Games would be a stepping stone for athletes from Kerala to win laurels in the future. He also lauded the State Government for completing the stadium to make the Games a huge success.
