KOCHI: The police team probing the recent cocaine seizure from an apartment at Kadavanthra left for Goa on Friday, along with two of the accused persons, for evidence collection.  The police team left Kochi by road in the evening, along with the accused - Reshma and Blessy. They are expected to reach Goa on Saturday, and to return to Kochi on Monday.

“Reshma and Blessy had given statement that they had bought 10 gm of cocaine from a person named Franco in Goa in the last week of December. They collected the substance on Anjuna beach in Goa. With the assistance of the Goa police, we will make attempts to trace the person who allegedly gave cocaine to the accused. Since we got the custody of the accused persons for only five days, the procedures have to be completed quickly,” said police officials.

Meanwhile, the interrogation of Shine Tom, Sneha and Tincy continued on Friday. Police said that they would be taken to the apartment from where the cocaine was seized. Similarly, the police will take them to some places in Kochi as part of the probe. The accused persons will be returned to judicial custody on Tuesday.
