Software for Distribution of Certificates

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb on Wednesday released the software for the online distribution of certificates to beneficiaries of the Total E-Literacy Programme.

 The e-literacy programme is being jointly implemented by the departments of Education, Information Technology and Panchayats in association with P N Panicker Foundation and the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India.

 Using the software, beneficiaries of the first phase of the programme, which covers seven select panchayats in each district, can now download their e-literacy certificates online. 

Abdu Rabb handed over a replica of the software CD to M Vijayakumar, CPM leader and general convenor of Total E-Literacy Programme.

P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra vice-chairman N Balagopal was also present.

 The software was developed by young engineers of a start-up company called Orange White situated in Technopark.”

“The aim of the project is to make around nine lakh people in 100 panchayats in the state e-literate. This

will enable them to effectively utilise the benefits of e-district programme,’’ Education MInister Abdu Rabb said.
